Signing in

Two ways in — a password, or a single-use code by email — plus recovery if you are locked out.

With your password

1. Go to /signin, or choose Get started on the website.
2. Enter your Email and Password.
3. Select Sign in.

Expected result. You arrive on the dashboard. If you were sent to the sign-in page from a deeper link, you return to that page instead.

Note · A brief pause before sign-in completes is normal

Every sign-in performs a small invisible computation in your browser that makes automated password-guessing expensive. There is nothing to click and no puzzle to solve; on a slow device it may simply take a moment.

With a one-time email code

Purpose. Sign in without typing a password — useful on shared or unfamiliar devices, or if you never set a memorable password.

1. On the sign-in page choose Sign in with a code instead.
2. Enter your email address and choose Send code.
3. Read the 6-digit code from your inbox and enter it.

Expected result. You are signed in exactly as with a password. The code is then consumed and cannot be reused.

Note · The request always reports success

For privacy, AuthPlus confirms that a code has been sent whether or not the address belongs to an account. If nothing arrives, the likeliest explanation is that the address is not registered.

Forgotten password

1. On the sign-in page select Forgot password?
2. Enter your email address and request the code.
3. Enter the emailed code and your new password (at least 8 characters).

Expected result. The password is replaced and you can sign in with it immediately.

Warning · A password reset signs you out everywhere

Resetting the password invalidates every existing session on every device — the correct behaviour if you fear your account was compromised. Note the deliberate contrast with changing your password from within your profile, which leaves other sessions untouched (Changing your password).

Staying signed in, and signing out

AuthPlus keeps you signed in across restarts of the browser or the mobile app; your session is renewed silently in the background, so you should not be interrupted while working. To end a session, open the avatar menu at the top-right and choose Sign out.

Warning · Sign out on shared devices

Because sessions are long-lived, closing the tab is not enough on a shared or public computer. Use Sign out explicitly. Signing out ends the session on that device only; to end every session at once, perform a password reset (Forgotten password).

Note · There is no “sign out of all devices” control
